About me

I am a motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistance, with over two years of experience in practice.

A key strength of mine is communication; building strong relationships with people in order to deliver the best results. I was described by my previous employer as having an ability to be a strong positive role in any team I join.

Architecture has been all I have ever wanted to do from a small child. Stimulated by a particular interest in the mechanics of things, I have been heavily influenced by vernacular housing, alongside the many radical architectural collectives of the 60’s.

Experience

Throughout the 7 years I have been studying and working in the Industry, I have been found myself on a wide range of projects.

  • I have managed projects ranging from housing extensions, to the renovation of a 900sqm victorian Industrial building,

  • I have also played a key role, in a full time team of three, that designed and tendered one of the UKs largest timber buildings, The Gramophone Works.

During breaks in my previous employment I also took on solo work including furniture design, a loft extension, several planning applications and a feasibility study for a detached London home.

Outside of Architecture I also have experience:

  • Working as an apprentice for a carpenter,

  • I have competed in International sailing events as well as working professionally as a yacht delivery crew-member.

  • Printmaking and illustration, I am currently in the process of being published in a London Drawing Group book “The Printing Ideas”

Academic Background

I studied both my Bachelors, and Masters at the Welsh School of Architecture. With Peter Salter as my masters tutor.
