I am a highly motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant, with over two years of experience in practice. Architecture has been all I have ever wanted to do since I was a small child. Stimulated by a particular interest in the mechanics of things, I have been heavily influenced by vernacular housing, alongside a number of radical architectural collectives of the 60’s.
A key strength of mine is communication; building strong relationships with people in order to deliver the best results. I was described by my previous employer as able to bring a strong positive role to any team I join.
So far, I have focused my career on efficient sustainable architecture, dedicating my Masters Thesis to finding real-world solutions to the housing crisis. I have since worked with Studio RHE, nHouse and Orkidstudio, as well as undertaking private commissions. As part of a team, I have worked on projects ranging from multi award-winning, world leading developments in structural timber, to locally sourced clay brick construction in Western Africa, as well as furniture design, installations, and house extensions in London.
Apart from architecture I am also passionate about sailing, printmaking, and cycling. I have competed in international sailing events, am a qualified skipper, and have worked professionally as a yacht delivery crew member. Through Printmaking, I am having my work published in a London Drawing Group book “The Printing Ideas”, and cycling has taken me up and down mountains in England, Scotland, Wales and France.
